Said Holy Communion
8.00am – A quiet, contemplative said service, using the liturgy, readings and prayers from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
Sung Holy Communion
10.30am – A service of Holy Communion accompanied (during term-time) by a full robed choir, and including hymns and a sermon (following the Church of England’s three-year lectionary).
During most of the year, the liturgy is from Common Worship in contemporary language; during Advent and Lent we use the more penitential traditional liturgy based on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
Choral Evensong
6.30pm (term-time only – please check the newsletter link above) – a non-eucharistic service based on the order for Evening Prayer found in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, much of this service is led by one of St Giles’ choirs.
Weekdays:
Evening Prayer
Mon – Sat at 5:30pm – this is a said service in the Lady Chapel of St Giles’ in contemporary language, following the Church of England’s daily lectionary.
