Churchyard Clean-up

You may remember that a few weeks ago we had a problem with St Giles’ churchyard being used fairly extensively for drug-taking. Following the clean-up by the Council, I met with the Police who cover this area to see what can be done to prevent this situation arising again. They advised that we should clear the ground-cover vegetation in the area. The Police have volunteered to help us achieve this clear up, but have asked me to find people from the parish who are prepared to work with them.

The clean-up will be from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday 8th December. If you are able to spare some time during this time window please let me know. Please bring some garden secateurs and shears and equip yourself with gloves. It would be great if we could get a team of six to ten people to help with this clean-up for Christmas.

Yours,

Andrew.
