Fundraising for our much-needed roof repair:

There will be an important meeting to launch the roof fundraising appeal on Sunday 5th November, after the 10:30 am Communion service, beginning at c. 11:45 am. We will outline the cost of the repairs, the strategies for raising these sums and explain how YOU can help to preserve St Giles’ for future generations. Peal: A peal of Stedman Triples was successfully completed on St Giles’ bells on Sunday 22nd October by a band of ringers mostly from around Oxford, including John Pusey and Andrew Freer from the St Giles’ band, in 2 hours 52 minutes – the full extent of the possible 5040 changes on seven bells, each rung once and only once, and with the tenor bell striking last in every change.

Lunchtime Talk: 12:30 pm on Thursday 2nd November – Making and Breaking Community in 20th Century India. Speaker: Judith Brown.

Chorister Concert: On Sun 10th Dec at 12 noon there will be a short concert. Do put the date in your diary and come and support our young musicians.
