Homelessness Sunday – 22nd January: The 10:30 am service at St Giles’ will focus on the issue of homelessness and will be followed by a Homelessness Trail starting at St Giles’ from 12 noon to 1 pm.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: Unity Service at Christ Church Cathedral at 6 pm on Sunday 22nd January. Evening Prayer (said) will take place at St Giles’ at 6:30 pm.

February Newsletter: Contributions are welcomed, and should be sent to secretary@st-giles-church.org by 25th January.

Chapel Service at OCMS, Woodstock Road: On Wednesday 25th January at 9:30 am there will be a showing of the film The Worth of a Soul.

St Giles’ Lunchtime Talks: Getting Cancer – Speakers: John Davey, Polly Holbrook and Tom Darby on Thursday 26th January, 12:30 pm. .

Cocoa and Compline at St Giles’: 9:30 pm on Thursday 26th January.

Services next Sunday, 29th January (Epiphany 4): 8:00 – Holy Communion (BCP); 10:30 am – Holy Communion; 6:30 pm – Evensong.

The Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Candlemas): Sung Eucharist at St Margaret’s at 8:00 pm on Thursday 2nd February.

Concert: Music by Byrd, Walton, Arvo Pärt. Saturday 4th February at 7 pmin LMH Chapel. Tickets £10 adults/£5 children available at the door or in advance from Nicholas Prozzillo. (Part of the proceeds will go to Project 900).

Priest and Pints: Tom Albinson will be at The Royal Oak at 7:45 pm on Sunday 5th February. All are welcome.

Day Conference: Homelessness – A Response of Faith, on Saturday 18th March from 10 am to 3:30 pm at The King’s Centre, Osney Mead, Oxford. Celebrate, discuss and learn how God’s love is becoming present in our shared response to the homeless in Oxford. Hear from Rev Paul Cowley MBE and many different organisations on the current issues, needs and successes. £10 (concessions available).
