NOTICES

Patronal Festival Flowers: We will be decorating the church on Saturday 2nd September to celebrate St Giles Day and to welcome the many visitors expected whilst St Giles Fair is in operation. Donations of flowers, or money towards flowers, would be much appreciated. If you are able to offer some help with decorating the church or tidying up, you would be very welcome. We will be in church from 10.00 am on 2nd September. Mary Whitlock

Services next Sunday, 3rd September (The Twelfth Sunday after Trinity/St Giles’ Patronal Festival): 8 am – BCP Holy Communion; 10:30 am – Patronal Festival Holy Communion; 6:30 pm – Evensong.

Dennis Shaw, CBE: Dennis died on Tuesday 25th July. His ashes will be interred at St Giles’ on Sunday 3rd September after the 10:30 am Patronal Festival Holy Communion service.

Priest and Pints: Tom Albinson will be at The Royal Oak at 7:45 pm on Sunday 3rd September. Do join him!

St Giles’ Fair – 4th and 5th September: Please help to welcome Fair Goers into the Church this year – there are still some spaces on the sign-up sheets at the back of the church.

Ride and Stride – 9th September; and Oxford Open Doors – 9th and 10th September. Assistance will be needed for these two worthwhile and enjoyable events – please add your name to the sign-up sheets.
