The PCC is revising its arrangements for charitable giving.  There is a consultation document at the back of the church on the hymn book trolley.  Please indicate which charities you think we should continue to support, and add any which interest you and are not on the list.

Easter Week opening times at St Giles’: The church will be open between 12 noon and 2 pm from Tuesday to Friday next week (closed Easter Monday.)  Evening Prayer will be said, as usual, at 5:30 pm on Easter Monday.

Free Junior Chess Tuition at St Giles’: 10 am-12 noon on Wednesday 30th March and Thursday 31st March.  No need to book.  The training will be informal and children are welcome to attend on either or both days.  We will be registering those who want to move on to the next level of ECF certificate, although no tests will be conducted during these sessions.  Further details from Rod Nixon or David Longrigg

Taizé Service at St Giles’: 1:15 pm on Friday 1st April.  All are welcome.

Concert at St Giles’: Nine Lives (the Oxley/Graham Family Band).  Saturday 16th April, 7:30 pm.  £10 (concessions: £8; students/children £5).

Discussion Series at Wycliffe Hall: Mummy’s Got to Save the Planet (Marchioness Tracey Worcester) and The God of ALL Creation (Revd Martin Henig)Thursday 21st April at 5:30 pm.

Christian Aid Week – 15th-21st May: Christian Aid Art and Photograph Exhibition I Witness at St Giles’ from 16th-28th April (and at Christ Church Cathedral from 23rd April to 22nd May.)

♦ Some students at Brasenose College are planning to drive a load over to the Calais migrant camp after the end of term. They are collecting books (eg fiction, dictionaries, textbooks) as well as camping gear, waterproofs, and tinned food. If you would like to donate, there will be a box in church. Please speak to Melanie Florence if you require further information.
