Barbara Hayes is Director of Oxford Industrial Chaplaincy, working for a good economy in the city. Initially trained as an RE teacher and youth worker, Barbara has worked in a number of areas. Following a post grad. Diploma in pastoral studies she worked for a CUF funded project working with women involved in street prostitution in the W Midlands and then in adult mental health before becoming industrial chaplain in the Cowley deanery in 1992. This work had a particular interest in women in the economy while the work of OIC is generic. Barbara also chairs the Ecumenical council for Corporate Responsibility which works for corporate responsibility in companies and in the church, doing research on companies and networking internationally with church investors and people working in local communities impacted by corporate behaviour. |
