We welcome boys and men as choristers in the St Giles Choir. We sing at 10:30am and 6:30pm on Sunday and rehearse on Friday evenings. Experience is useful, but not required. If you enjoy singing, and want to do it with us, contact us!

Andrew Patterson joins St Giles as Organist and Choirmaster

Andrew Patterson, formerly organist at St Mary Magdalene Woodstock, has taken up the post of Organist and Choirmaster in February 2010.

A picture of the choir panda, our cuddly yet (unfortunately) rather neglected friend The Choir Panda

The Choir Panda lives on a high shelf in the choir vestry, from which vantage point he can keep an eye on the choirboys. He wears a ruff and has recently been awarded his red ribbon, His behaviour is exemplary and he always gets a big gold star for his Standards. This may be because he has been baptised so many times: ordinands from Wycliffe Hall regularly use him for christening practice in our ancient font.

From the Choir Director

St. Giles' Church is looking for some new boys for the choir. If you are aged between 6 and 12, and enjoy singing, then come and find out more.

We sing a very wide range of music and run a full training scheme, so you don't need a brilliant voice to begin with, and we even pay you! It is quite possible to try out choir life for a few weeks before committing yourself to membership. Our main choir practice is on Friday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.30pm and we sing during Sunday Services at 10.30am and 6.30pm.

An Opportunity for BOYS to sing in St. Giles' Church Choir Oxford.
