BRIEF HISTORY

St. Giles’ Church has a very long and interesting history. It is a medieval church, which was originally situated outside the borders of Oxford, dating back to A.D. 1086. Oxford is an historic town, and St. Giles’ certainly adds to the mystery of the ancient town. A full history of the Church, taken from a book by Leslie Wood, is available by clicking the link below. St Giles lived in the 7th Century.
